E+E Officer Team 2025-2026
Campus Events + Entertainment (E+E) is the prime University Unions student programming organization at The University of Texas at Austin. Guided by professional staff and led by a student executive board, E+E consists of six programming committees and one funding board that plan and produce a wide range of events throughout the academic year.
From concerts, films, and UT traditions to festivals, seasonal programs, and community events, E+E creates opportunities for students to engage with campus life while gaining hands-on experience in event planning, leadership, marketing, finance, and collaboration.
Since its founding, E+E has remained committed to providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn by action. Through the planning and execution of campus programming, members develop practical skills, build lasting relationships, and contribute to a more connected and vibrant University of Texas community.

Annual Awards
Shirley Bird Perry Leadership Award (2 recipients)
The Shirley Bird Perry Leadership Award is one of the annual awards given by Campus Events + Entertainment. Named after one of the Texas Union’s most exemplary staff members, this award was as a way of recognizing and supporting students who give their efforts and energies in support of campus life at UT Austin through active participation in the programming board.
Eligibility: Active member of E+E. Full-time student. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Not won this award in previous years.
E+E Lasting Legacy Award
This award recognizes a member of the organization who has made an impact through their active participation in E+E over the course of their entire collegiate experience. IT’s awarded to one student who has been involved in E+E every semester since they have been enrolled at the University of Texas. This person has used their commitment to the organization to positively impact E+E and leave a lasting legacy upon their graduation.
Eligibility: Graduating senior. Active member of at least one E+E committee. Active member of at least one E+E committee every semester they’ve been enrolled at UT. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
C.C “Jitter” Nolen Spirit Award (self-nominations and nominations for others are accepted)
The Jitter Nolen Spirit Award recognizes a Campus Events + Entertainment member who has encouraged, inspired, and supported E+E and its committees, through his or her active participation in and implementation of its events and overall mission. This person exemplifies the sense of volunteerism, community, commitment, creativity, and involvement that E+E strives to infuse through the organization.
Eligibility: Active member of at least one E+E committee/organization. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Not have won this award in previous years.
William Andrew Smith Jr. GRASP Award (fall semester recipient has been awarded and now accepting spring applications)
Description: The GRants for Active Student Participants (GRASP) endowment was created to encourage and facilitate the continued student participation in University Unions committees and organizations. Stipends will be awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership qualities, an enthusiasm for campus citizenship, and who, for various reasons, might be unable to participate without support.
Eligibility: Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin for the current semester and intending to enroll in the upcoming fall/spring semester. Active in E+E. Good academic standing.
Star Awards
The Star Awards recognize E+E members and officers (on certain categories) who make outstanding contributions in unique ways. Please note CABINET MEMBERS do not qualify for these awards. Each recipient will be awarded $500.
Bullhorn Award (Members Only): A member who passionately spreads the word about E+E. They are outspoken on social media, dutifully volunteer for advertising opportunities, and fervently encourage others to join in committee meetings and events.
Crossover Award (Officers or Members): A member or officer who exemplifies the idea of "One E+E" by serving multiple committees and working to unite E+E to make it the biggest and best organization on campus. This person does not claim to be on just one committee - they are truly part of E+E as a bigger organization.
Innovation Award (Officers or Members): A member or officer that continually introduces ideas that enable us to be creative and reach students in new, interesting ways, and/or has developed one particularly exceptional idea, big or small, that transformed a committee or event.
New Leader Award (Members Only): A new E+E member for the 2025-2026 school year. This person has taken the initiative in a leadership position, formal or otherwise, and exhibits great promise as a future leader of E+E.
Take Action Award (Officers or Members): A member or officer who is a particularly spirited volunteer, and relishes every opportunity to help out. They exhibit this eagerness for all of E+E events, regardless of who is involved. Wherever help is needed, they can be counted on to answer the call.
