  • Texas Union (UNB): The Texas Union is closed for maintenance and will reopen January 2021.
  • William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center (WCP) hours:
    • 7am-5pm Monday-Friday
  • Student Services Building (SSB) hours: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday, closed weekends.
    • University Health Services (UHS) Urgent Care and Designated Respiratory Clinics remain open during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm) to provide care for acute illness or injury, including evaluation of COVID-19. Please visit their website for more information about how students should visit since circumstances may change.
    • Forty Acres Pharmacy is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Please visit their website for more information before you visit since circumstances may change.
    • Please see the Student Services Building website for information on how to contact other SSB departments
  • 2609 University Avenue (UA9) hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, closed weekends.

What is the status of Tower Tours?

Information regarding the resumption of tours will be posted online when available.

Is the James Turrell Skyspace available?

The Skyspace will suspend operations until further notice. Please direct questions to Landmarks at: landmarks@austin.utexas.edu.

Is the Cactus Cafe open?

University Unions and KUT have mutually agreed to suspend normal programming and sales at Cactus Café due to prevailing conditions caused by COVID-19. This is a temporary modification and information about the resumption of programming and sales will be shared at a later date.

What University Unions is doing to keep you well

  • Enhanced, thorough cleaning procedures for our buildings and food service operations.
  • All meetings and events have been canceled until further notice.
  • Seating areas have been modified to reduce building density.
  • Hand sanitizer has been placed throughout common areas..
  • Grubhub mobile ordering will be available to reduce waiting in line.

Here is what you can do

  • Wear a recommended protective face mask.
  • Wash your hands well and often.
  • Practice the university’s guidelines on social distancing: Maintain a distance of six feet between yourself and others whenever possible.
  • Participate in symptom screening using the Protect Texas Together app.
  • When possible, meet online or outdoors and in larger common areas, not in private offices or small enclosed spaces.
