Lunar New Year is a traditional holiday that is celebrated in many Asian countries. The 2018 Lunar calendar begins on February 16. During Lunar New Year, friends and family come together to celebrate through traditional customs, food, and festivities. Activities often celebrated include dragon dancing, lighting firecrackers, and exchanging red money envelopes. Each Lunar New Year is associated with one of 12 animals in the zodiac, with 2018 as the year of the Dog!
