Movement Disorder is an Austin-based band blending Americana, country, roots rock, and
classic rock into a sound that is both timeless and distinctly Texan. Built on memorable songs,
soulful vocals, and exceptional musicianship, the band delivers performances that celebrate
resilience, friendship, and the enduring power of great music.
Founded by bassist, vocalist, and songwriter Allan Cole and guitarist Jason Meeker, the band's
sound combines thoughtful songwriting with expressive guitar work and a shared commitment to
authentic, engaging performances. The band's name is a lighthearted nod to Cole's Parkinson's
disease diagnosis, reflecting a spirit of resilience, humor, and hope rather than limitation.
Vocalist and guitarist Blair Walker brings warmth, charisma, and distinctive vocal range, while
Scottish guitarist and bassist Alex McChesney adds versatility and influences rooted in Celtic
and British rock traditions. Drummers and percussionists Adeel Omer and Scott Uhrig provide
the rhythmic foundation with dynamic, intuitive performances that bring every song to life.
Whether performing original music or carefully chosen covers, Movement Disorder creates
shows that are energetic, heartfelt, and deeply engaging. Their chemistry on stage, strong
musicianship, and genuine love of playing together make every performance an invitation to
connect through songs that move people and leave audiences wanting more.
