Local indie-rock artist Katherion performs live at the Cactus Cafe!
Katherion is a local artist whose music explores themes of romance and love, but is meant to have a micro and macro approach. That is, Katherion operates from a belief that the description of a human-to-human relationship can also describe our relationship to the Divine, and vice versa. When recording her debut album "EROS", she focused on what she would describe as the higher realms and creating positive vibrations. To be human is to experience the entire range of emotions. And, oftentimes, to be human is to suffer. Her prayer is that EROS lifts your spirits and creates joy and hope while also helping you feel seen in your experiences. EROS has been met with international acclaim and has been featured in Iggy Magazine (France), Oleada Indie (Spain), Voxwave Magazine (U.S.), and many more. EROS has also been featured in hundreds of playlists and on KUTX, Austin's number one radio station. EROS follows the highs and lows of a romantic relationship - from the bliss of possibility, the euphoria of new love, the pain of heartbreak, to resolution and the hope of something new.
Ally Taylor is a Texas-rooted singer-songwriter whose family history in the state spans five generations. After fronting the California band Honey Grove (2016–2019), she returned to Central Texas and released her debut solo album Hold the Line, recorded in Austin in 2024. Blending country, Americana, and roots rock, the record has spent over 40 weeks on the Roots Music Report charts and currently sits at #5 across Country, Americana Country, and Texas Albums. Ally delivers live performances marked by honesty, grit, and pure grace.
