Locations & Reservations

University affiliated departments and organizations may reserve space in any building, utilizing the University Unions Event Management System.

Non-university affiliated groups (special use) may only use the Texas Union for life celebration events including weddings, parties, quinceañeras, etc.

 

The University Unions serves to meet your meeting and event needs.  Registered student and staff organizations as well as departments utilize our buildings for a variety of events: from weekly meetings, banquets, special lectures, film screenings, to cultural celebrations.

The Texas Union offers traditional elegance, while the Student Activity Center offers modern grace; both are wonderful examples of how beauty and functionality come together in great architecture - something we are generally privileged to be surrounded by on this campus.

Hogg Memorial Auditorium is a performing arts venue that features 1,150 seats and provides the ideal location for lectures, theatrical performances, talent shows, panel discussions, movies, and more.

Catering at the Texas Union and Hogg Memorial Auditorium is provided by Aramark.

Catering at the Student Activity Center is open to several approved caterers including Aramark.

The Student Activity Center has the Black Box Theatre. Both buildings feature theaters and ballrooms.

Dates for Spring and Summer 2019

Reservations for Spring and Summer 2019 will be available starting November 6, 2018 for Student Organizations and November 13, 2018 for departments and registered staff/faculty organizations.

Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 am

Authorized representatives from Registered and Sponsored Student Organizations may begin submitting requests for:

Weekly/recurring meetings in standard rooms (including dance rehearsal space)

One time requests in standard rooms

One-time events in Specialty Rooms (Ballroom, Auditorium, Black Box Theatre)

Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:00 am

Authorized representatives from Registered Faculty/Staff Organizations and University Departments may begin submitting requests for:

Weekly/recurring meetings in standard rooms (including dance rehearsal space)

One-time requests in standard rooms

One-time events in specialty Rooms (Ballroom, Auditorium, Black Box Theatre, Legislative Assembly Room)

*Please note: All department requests must submit a 10 digit account number for payment to be processed.

All requests must be made via the University Unions Reservations System.
