All student organizations are invited be a part of the "Legacy Lounge Project." This project raises funds for the William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center Programming Endowment, which ensures continued funding for student programming within the WCP. The project also ensures that the participating student organization leaves their legacy for generations to come through donor recognition in the lounge itself.
The Legacy Lounge is a non-reservable space on the 2nd floor of the William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center (WCP) where university traditions and spirit are recognized and on display. The WCP serves the UT community by supporting a diverse array of student interests and providing options for activities and events as well as meeting, dining and outdoor gathering spaces.
The Legacy Lounge embodies this mission through its display of university traditions and spirit. It showcases the impact that students have had on the creation of those traditions and it recognizes the legacy of registered student organizations that have given back to their university through the Legacy Lounge Project.
Registered student organizations are encouraged to raise funds for this project and the William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center Programming Endowment and become a permanent part of the Legacy Lounge.
