For parties or social events held in a University Unions facility, University of Texas Police presence may be required. For UT Department or Special Use events that serve alcohol, this security is also required. Security charges are the responsibility of the client. Dances held by RSOs require a security consultation with UTPD to establish minimum security requirements; this may necessitate the hiring of security for events and the taking of guest identification.
Should an event require a security consultation, submit a completed and signed UT Police Department Event Security Request Form at least 2 weeks before the event.
