This food waiver is for reservations in the Texas Union for Registered Student Organizations and University Departments.

  • Cream Cheese
  • Cheese
  • Vegetables and Sliced Fruit Trays
  • Milk
  • Ice Cream
  • Anything that must be heated
  • Anything that must be refrigerated
Important - Please Note
  • Heating equipment is prohibited (no coffeepots or hot plates).
  • Coffee and tea may be purchased from the Texas Union or brought in secure containers.
  • Any alcoholic beverages must be supplied through Texas Union Catering. Alcohol is not permitted at student events.
  • Food in the Santa Rita must be catered by Texas Union Catering. No group-provided food allowed in the Santa Rita.
  • Department events with attendance over 100 may not provide food.
  • A food waiver is not applicable for special use groups.
  • All trash must be disposed of and the area left clean. If additional clean up is required by the Student Activity Center staff, a cleaning fee will be assessed.
  • All events must supply their own dishes, utensils, napkins, ice, etc.
  • Misuse of a room may result in the withdrawal of your organization's privileges to reserve space in the Texas Union and/or charges for cleaning and resetting of the room.
  • Food waivers received within less than two days of the event will result in a late charge of $10.

By completing this form, you and your organization hereby understand and agree to comply with the rules and regulations set by the Texas Union and release the Texas Union from any and all responsibility or liability for any injury or illness resulting from consumption of any food or beverage in the Texas Union which the Texas Union did not prepare, distribute or provide.
